My Coffee Bar Must-Haves!

Hey y’all, it’s Libby! My fiance and I just moved into a beautiful, new home. Of course, the first thing we wanted to do was go get all new things and make it feel homey! Since that can get a little pricey, we decided to start with one room at a time. First up was my coffee bar! I have been looking at all the dreamy Pinterest posts and immediately wanted to buy all the things!!! I took a step back and decided it made more sense to make it beautiful and cost-efficient! So here is what I have found.

Keurig– While I wish I was an at home barista and could produce yummy drinks, I cannot! Which means a coffee pot is all I need. With me being the only one in my home who drinks coffee and always being on the go, the keurig is the best option for me.

Creamer– I mean who drinks black coffee? Whether you are counting your calories or treating yourself I have some perfect creamers for you to try! If you are looking for dairy free, low calorie, sugar or carbs, I would suggest the nutpods. They come in different flavors, work with many diets and add just enough sweetness to your coffee! If you are wanting to treat yourself, you have to try the Torani syrups or the Reddi Whip sweet foam to add on top. It is the closest you will get to Starbucks in under 3 minutes.

Coffee– This one is 100% personal preference. I personally like anything hazelnut or McCafe breakfast roast. If you have any must try coffees, please let me know!

The bar- Okay I know this is the one you have been waiting for! While I wish I could say there is one perfect one I found, I cannot! But I did come up with some things to think about when searching for your perfect bar.  – What do you already have? Could it be redone? What am I wanting to store in or on the coffee bar? (for me, I wanted all of my coffee cups to go under the bar itself, so I needed either a cabinet or a shelf) Is there a way to plug in my Keurig or coffee pot? How tall do I want it? (I have a dog, so I do NOT want her able to reach it) What is my budget?

Once you have thought about all these questions, you can get started shopping! Here is what kind of furniture I found that seemed to fit the job.  -Buffet Table, Refurbished Dresser, End Table, TV Stand, Moveable Kitchen Island, Side Table, Desk or an Entryway cabinet

Decor– We both know this is the most important part! You get to show your creativity, your style and you get to have fun with it! I love decorating and am known for my over the top style, but I really wanted to focus on making it practical. I won matching, Magnolia sugar and cream set at a Christmas party and they fit perfectly with the style I was going with. I just bought some to-go creamer containers to put inside because there is no lid. Crafting is my go to outlet, so I decided the cheapest and cutest way for me was to vinyl my coffee & tea sign, but just the black vinyl was not enough. Adding a little bit of greenery adds the perfect pop of color and fills a lot of empty space. It only cost around $3 with some leftover for my next project! I got my greenery at Walmart this time, but normally get it at Hobby Lobby when it is on sale. I love to shop at TJMaxx and Hobby Lobby because you can find such good deals. I love the chalk board that I added because you can always change it and use it for cute holiday sayings. The next thing I added was a cute container to hold the coffee, to me it is not practical if I have to go across my kitchen to get my coffee started in the mornings. Having this basket filled with all my favs makes it so easy! I also added a vinyl saying to even out my design and to bring it all together. The last thing I added has no real reason, but I am obsessed with these wooden stands right now. I got one to add more dimension to my bar area and to make it a little more cutesy.

These are the things that were a must-have on my coffee bar. I am sure there are so many more things that you could use, but these are the things that work in my day to day life! I hope you remember to have fun, make it cute and most importantly, make it practical!
